Meet Shannon
Hi, I’m Shannon.
For much of my life, I didn’t realize how often I was abandoning myself. I pushed through, ignored the whispers from my body, and stayed in patterns that felt familiar because they felt safe. I always felt like something was wrong with me. Today, I understand that my nervous system had simply become incredibly good at protecting me.
Through childhood experiences, life’s unexpected twists, deep loss, and seasons where life began to unravel, I found myself surrounded by people who gently challenged the way I saw myself and the world. Instead of giving me answers, they invited me into curiosity. Little by little, I became curious about what might be possible if I learned to stay with myself instead.
That curiosity changed everything. It opened me to what I now think of as The Wonder of You—the practice of becoming curious enough to discover that there’s more to you than the patterns you’ve learned to survive with.
One of the greatest surprises on my journey was discovering that supporting my nervous system and reconnecting with my body didn’t just change me physically. It influenced how I thought, responded emotionally, experienced relationships, and even deepened my spiritual connection. I came to see that our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being are deeply connected.
Today, I don’t believe our goal is to eliminate stress or life’s challenges. I believe we can learn to support ourselves through them without abandoning ourselves.
Through nervous system support, somatic awareness, and energy work, my hope is to create a space where you feel safe enough to reconnect with yourself, put on your curiosity hat and wonder cape, and discover what’s possible when you no longer have to live in survival mode.
I’m a mom of two incredible adult children and am so excited to meet my very first grandbaby this September. I’m also grateful to share Reflections Within the Ripples alongside two of my favorite humans, where together we invite others to explore life with curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to see what’s possible.
If any part of this resonates with you, I’d love to connect.
